Guess the fuck what.
I was right all along. Baseball sucks. So now, after discovering the wonders of Google Trends Lab, I can see that I’m backed by a mile around the world when I say football is far-and-above better than major league baseball.
Baseball fans can argue all they want about their boring ass, gay ass sport being “America’s Pastime.” They’re going to lose.
Outside of a brief two month period during football’s offseason, the NFL towers over baseball as far as world wide traffic.
Also, check out the tail-end of this graph…
That’s right, it shows the NFL being followed more at this current time, while in it’s offseason, then baseball is during regular season play. That’s the difference in competition between actual baseball games vs. the NFL’s college draft.
Now, even when idiot baseball fans argue that the MLB’s playoffs are what’s really exciting about the sport (which begin around the last quarter of the year), the NFL in the first half of it’s season murders those pansy, bat swinging, grass standing fags.
Football is America’s favorite pastime 10 months out of the year… although its only played for about 5. On top of that, you get most of your football in just 2 days of a given week. You’d think having viewers 7 days a week for months would help those numbers considering baseball is as American as pie. Sheesus, the general public is more interested in football than they are baseball even when it’s NOT on TV.
I’m glad some people feel it’s necessary that A-Rod is paid $275 million when, thanks to this line graph here, it’s apparent that most people couldn’t really give a shit.
